Classic Hits Radio scores highest listenership in 14-year history

Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio has received its highest listenership to date in the latest JNLR survey, released today and covering the 12-month period up to end of September 2023. 329,000 people now listen to the service each week, an increase of 19,000 over the past three month, with 176,000 daily listeners. The latest ratings make Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio the largest commercial radio service in Ireland outside the two national services Today FM and Newstalk, according to station bosses.

Chief Executive Kevin Branigan said, “We’re bowled over by today’s JNLR ratings. We’ve reached our highest weekly and daily listenership in our 14-year history, placing us firmly on the map as one of the largest commercial radio stations in Ireland”.

Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio is the country’s only multicity radio service, broadcasting to Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Clare, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow. The company employs 30 people across its offices in Dublin and Cork.
