Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio Supports Galway Film Fleadh

Here at Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio, we’re delighted to support the Galway Film Fleadh this year!

Galway Film Fleadh* is a week-long international film festival taking place every July on the western edge of Europe in Galway, Ireland. Founded in 1989 as a platform for Irish filmmakers to exhibit their work to their peers, the central goal of the Galway Film Fleadh remains unchanged: to be a platform for the boldest new films, and to bring audiences & filmmakers from around the world together, to celebrate our shared passion for film.

Featuring a spectacular, packed programme of the very best of Irish and international cinema, Galway Film Fleadh has launched the full line-up for our 34th edition. All roads lead to the West this July 5th-10th as the Fleadh celebrates filmmakers, storytellers, and the enduring power of cinema.

The Fleadh’s Director of Programming, Will Fitzgerald said, “There are 80 sensational International and Irish feature films selected for this year’s edition. A quarter of those are World Premieres. 32 of the selected films are from debut feature directors and there are also over 100 new shorts. As ever, we strive to be a springboard for new talent, and to elevate diverse and emerging voices in cinema.”

Killian Mac Donald, Business Development Account Manager for Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio said, “We’re truly exited to be working closely with the team at the Galway Film Fleadh. It’s a wonderful festival and we’re so happy to be partnering with the team to get the word out to our may listeners in Galway and surrounding counties”.

Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio broadcasts to Galway, Clare, Limerick, Cork & Dublin, with 24% listenership – one in four people – (53,000) in Galway alone and 107,000 listeners in the wider Galway, Limerick & Clare region.
