It’s the first time the station has broken through the 300,000 weekly listeners and 5% market share levels.

The ratings are the highest the station has achieved in its 12-year history and cover the period October 2020 to October 2021.

Pointing to the latest results, CEO Kevin Branigan, said, “We’re delighted by these listenership figures today. We’ve made considerable developments to our programming output over the last 8 months and it is gratifying to see this significant positive response from listeners throughout the multicity area”.

Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio broadcasts to the main cities of Dublin, Cork, Limerick & Galway as well as Clare, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow.

“We’ve worked hard in 2021 at defining a unique music position as “The Home of the 80s & 90s” and rebooted our breakfast show with the arrival of Colm Hayes and Lucy Kennedy. The combination of the best music from two great classic decades, the fun and family values brought with ‘The Colm & Lucy Breakfast Show’ and our strong line up of Trina Mara, Niall Boylan and Damien Farrelly has proven to resonate very well with listeners”, said Branigan.

Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio is the only multicity radio service in Ireland.
